New Poll Shows Trump Popularity Sinks To Unprecedented Lows

The disapproval rating of our so-called president has reached a new high of 55 percent, according to a new Quinnipiac poll released yesterday. His popularity is falling faster than Ivanka’s made in China merchandise. It is certain Trump and his supporters will disparage this information as “fake news”.

According to the release details of the poll, only 38 percent of voters approve of the job the new President is doing. His disapproval numbers continue to rise, while his approval numbers keep diving to heretofore unknown depths for a new President. For some perspective, the report included the following comments.

President Donald Trump’s popularity is sinking like a rock,” said Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll.

“He gets slammed on honesty, empathy, level headedness and the ability to unite. And two of his strong points, leadership and intelligence, are sinking to new lows.

“This is a terrible survey one month in.”

For those that think he has leadership skills and intelligence, I have some bad news. Being born filthy rich and spoiled rotten does not necessarily make you a strong leader, or smart. His leadership style is authoritarian at best, but mostly just plain old bullying. Throughout his miserable life, his money has provided the privilege and power he enjoys.

A closer look at the numbers

A majority of those polled, 55 percent, say Trump is not honest. Damn, I wonder where they got that idea? That same number of folks don’t think he has leadership skills. 53 percent say he does not care about the average citizen. 63 percent say he is not level-headed. Maybe they’ve seen his Tweeter storms where he rails against dissenting views and opinions. 58 percent don’t think he is very smart. Evidence of his lack of intelligence is on display every time he speaks. His limited vocabulary and a woefully deficient use of the King’s English are an embarrassment to most of the free world.

Country on the wrong track

As of this poll, only 38 percent of voters believe Trump is bringing the right kind of change to the country. Down from the 46 percent in the November poll.

For eight years conservatives, government haters, and those who just hated seeing a black family in the White House have moaned and complained that America was on the wrong track. Apparently, we still are. Americans sharply disagree with this administration’s policies on several important issues. One example notes that the American voters approve of the judiciary blocking the poorly written and unconstitutional immigration ban by a 59 – 38 percent margin.

What about the dishonest media that 45 believes is out to make him look bad? Well, here’s what the report said.

A total of 90 percent of American voters say it is ‘very important’ or ‘somewhat important’ that the news media hold public officials accountable.

But voters disapprove 61 – 35 percent of the way Trump talks about the media.

And voters trust the media more than Trump 52 – 37 percent ‘to tell you the truth about important issues.’

‘The media, so demonized by the Trump Administration, is actually a good deal more popular than President Trump,’ Malloy said.”

The Founders secured the freedom of the press in the Constitution for good reason. Whether 45 likes it or not, he can’t change that.

Has Trump awakened a sleeping giant?

The numbers don’t lie. The new administration is wildly unpopular. There have been marches and demonstrations here in America and around the world denouncing the installation of this Russian puppet into the Oval Office. Personally, I don’t see an impeachment in the future. The Republican-controlled congress doesn’t have the spine or the moral courage to remove this aberration from office. Besides, replacing him with Pence might be an even worse choice. Trump has no clue how government works. Pence has years of experience and knows how the system runs. He could do a lot of damage with the Republican Congress in place.

Now that the GOP controls Congress and the executive branches and soon the U.S. Supreme Court, the carnage they are plotting against our rights and our freedoms is unrestrained. Our only hope is that the American electorate gets up off of their collective asses and goes to the polls in 2018 midterm elections. The people can put a stop to this madness by throwing the bums out. The best way to defeat Trump and his evil, hateful agenda is to remove the GOP from its majorities in the House and Senate. We can render him ineffective and then make him a one-term President in 2020. If not, I fear for the future of our country and for the future of our children and grandchildren.
