Departing EPA Staffer DESTROYS Trump And His Insane Policies In Brilliant Letter
There isn’t a single employed American who hasn’t dreamed of the day they could summon the courage to tell off their boss. It’s as much a part of the American Dream as blowing off a major appendage on Independence Day and it’s one that the majority of Americans aspire to do. But what if your boss is Donald Trump?
It’s no state secret that 45 has little if any regard for properly addressing the threat of climate change which the entire world gets and is attempting to tackle. But Trump and his stupid, evil army of industry stooges have not only banned climate change from being said around the White House, but have totally gutted the EPA and scaled back all of President Obama’s policies that sought to combat climate change.
Well, one leaving EPA staffer isn’t going to take any of Lord Cheetos’s ignorant and destructive crap anymore!
After putting in over 25 years, EPA staffer Mike Cox decided that he’s had enough and isn’t going to take Trump’s anti-environment crap any longer. Cox retired last week from the Environmental Protection Agency with an extremely tough message for his new (or former) boss, Administrator Scott Pruitt:
I, along with many EPA staff, are becoming increasing alarmed about the direction of EPA under your leadership. The policies this Administration is advancing are contrary to what the majority of the American people, who pay our salaries, want EPA to accomplish, which are to ensure the air their children breathe is safe; the land they live, play, and hunt on to be free of toxic chemicals; and the water they drink, the lakes they swim in, and the rivers they fish in to be clean.
Cox, who was a climate change adviser for EPA’s Region 10, covering Alaska, Washington, Oregon, and Idaho, was equally angry and concerned by the complete and utter industry sycophants making up the Trump Administration. Pruitt, now the director of the EPA, once sued the agency a whipping 13 times in his quest to allow industry to pollute rivers, streams and lakes as much as possible without paying any fines. Cox knows he and his fellow EPA employees are now living in total fear of an administration hell-bent on the destruction of the very thing it’s sworn (and PAYED) to protect.
“It is pretty bleak,” one staffer, an environmental engineer, said about employee morale. “It’s in the dumps,” said another. “Pretty much everybody is updating their resumes. It’s grim,” added a third.
Since he was retiring, Cox felt it was appropriate to issue such a bluntly worded letter. After openly challenging Pruitt’s “indefensible cuts,” the EPA refused to get back to Cox. However, the woman who led Trump’s EPA transition team (a.k.a. “Big Coal Sycophant”) responded with all the obnoxious and belligerence we have come to expect from this fake and vile administration.
Now that Trump is moving toward “radically downsizing the EPA,” Ebell said, employees who are opposed to the Trump Administration’s agenda are either going to conduct themselves as professional civil servants or find other employment or retire or be terminated. I would be more sympathetic if they had ever expressed any concern for the people whose jobs have been destroyed by EPA’s regulatory rampage.
Yep, the gall of Cox to dare question the virulently anti-environmental policies of the Trump Admin.
